I'm a smart, drily humerous chap who has finally left the rat race and now find more time to think about doing things I want rather than things I must. I enjoy fantasy and sci fi, and am currently also an active member of a living history and re-enactment group. I enjoy gardening, cooking, and love to watch most sports, having previously played badminton and rugby to a reasonably good level. Looking for someone who will appreciate my style of humour and is looking for companionship. Having been through the marriage and kids phase of life, I am not looking to repeat this type of responsibility - it's all about having fun now.

Looking for someone with whom I can have intelligent conversations, unhurried companionship and fun. Be it popping out to the pub or a restaurant, or going to see a sporting event, or just watching a movie at home, or having a home cooked meal in, or staying in my seaside lodge and taking walks on the beach, my ideal match would be equally comfortable and happy.
Sorry to say that I am not looking to take on the trauma someone else's kids - I've done that and got the badge and now it's time for me. If kids are not going to be getting in the way (such as left home, or spend time at their fathers), then this is ok for me.
