About him
I recently lost my wife after half a century of marriage but am looking forward positively to the future. I am taking care of my health (Pilates, some Tai Chi) and walk a couple of miles each day. I listen to ClassicFM a lot and am particularly fond of Mozart. Before my wife's illness, we visited Spain where have some very good (Spanish) friends who were ex-students on ours. I was. university teacher in both Leicester (26 years) and then Winchester (10 years) before I retired. I retain a keen interest in overall liberal politics and International affairs. As I have taught in both Madrid and Jakarta, I have a international outlook on life. Interests include gardening (when I have the time), cooking and walking (in the past in the Lake District) and I write a 1000 word blog every day (for the last 2000 days anyway)
About his ideal match
Someone with similar, but not necessary identical, interests who enjoys good conversation and has an abundant sense of humour. An interest in politics and International affairs would be a real bonus but is not essential. Cooking meals (for each other) might be good fun as well as visiting places such a National Trust properties.
