I am a fairly voracious reader and a news junky! I read to relax and also walk with friends ( and we also do much chatting afterwards!)
I am very aware of how lucky I am to have been born where ie in Scotland, and when - ie when we could play outside with no fear, until street lights came on, food was home made - tasty and very healthy no UPF! and although there had been the horrors of WW2 - and things were difficult afterwards ie rationing meant we were in no way obese! but I was so aware of how everyone pulled together - nobody had very much but that didn't matter - I am not a fan of todays "conspicuous consumption!" I also know that I have very luckily, all my life, had friends who were much younger than me who have given me an outlook in life which perhaps belies my years and I am thankful for that. I still want to learn - have done a Short Course at Glasgow University 18 mths ago on Fake News and Civil Society and would like to do another.
