About her
I've been a writer, one way or another, since I was small and wrote a story about a giraffe falling for a leopard (so I guess I've always been a romantic at heart). I’m still involved in a few publishing and other art projects, but at last there’s time to ‘finish the novel’.
I have a close family whom I have loved watching grow into their own lives ... and as they've become established, I find myself asking what comes next. Whatever that might be, I hope to discover it with someone special beside me. It would be lovely to find someone to love deeply in the midst of this exuberant, sometimes crazy, thing we call life. I found it before so I know it’s possible.
A few special things I’ve enjoyed recently:
* clambering over The Giant’s Causeway and touring the Titanic Exhibition;
* moving into a new home after buying it derelict at auction and bringing it back to life;
* tracking the sun’s eclipse through a colander and lying on a blanket to track meteors across the night sky;
* seeing the musical Six and eating with family and friends at a favourite Italian;
* the scent of crushed lavender (I've always wanted a lavender farm lol) and of wet earth after rain (I’m not sure which smell I prefer!);
* coffee and baklava on a balcony, watching people pass by, as they’ve done since the 1800s.

Someone who knows themselves well, who is interested in others, who sees life as an adventure, who says, Ah, what’s next? But not so busy rushing towards it, that they miss the peace of quiet ordinary moments.
We can tick off preferences, and yes they matter, more or less. But, in the end, isn’t it something you recognise, deep down, in the mysterious mix that resonates with yours.
